About us

Overdrive Racing Team is more than a team. We are a community of people who believe in Bulgaria’s motorsports and build its future one step at a time. How this all began?

History

2006

Georgy Donchev and Daniel Donchev created the Overdrive Tuning Center to gather all motorsport fans in Bulgaria in one place;

2007

Georgy Donchev and Daniel Donchev started to participate actively in various track events across Europe;

2012

We organized the first automobile track event of the Overdrive Lap Battle series at the Serres Track in Greece;

2014

Georgy Donchev made his first start in Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland and in Porsche Super Sports Cup later that year;

2016

Georgy Donchev won his first championship title at Porsche Sports Cup Endurance (PSCE) with his copilot Marvin Dienst and in partnership with Schütz Motorsport;

2018

We added Gran Tourismo Tourung Car Cup (GTC-DMV) to our calendar along with VLN at the legendary Nürburgring, Nordschleife;

2018

The Overdrive Lap Battle meets are now six a year - two on the Balkans and four in Western Europe.

2018

We created Overdrive Racing Team;

2019

We launched our strategic partnership with Huber Racing. We had our first start with our team, flying the Bulgarian flag, in Porsche Sports Cup Deutschland, Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and VLN.

We achieved a lot in 13 years.

It was the creation of a community that nurtures talent and makes champions. Overdrive Lap Battle laid the foundations of a true Bulgarian club motorsport championship – here, enthusiasts and seasoned

it to the pro tracks.

Our 2019 calendar

Is more ambitious than ever. We will take part in three of Europe’s top championships – Porsche Carrera Cup, Porsche Sports Cup and VLN.

We have a really good team and а strategic partnerships – with Huber Racing Team. Huber Racing is one of the most ambitious competitors at the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. Apart from its long history, the team has its own talent academy. 

Overdrive Racing Team has never had a more impressive roster. In the upcoming season, we will have some of the most illustrious names in the world of motorsports joining forces.

Mission

Bulgaria can be a force to be reckoned with on tracks across the globe. To reach this goal, we will continue to develop club-level motorsport and to provide talented young people with technical and professional support. We know what it would take to reach our goal and we are working in several directions:
  • Having the Bulgarian team start in as many elite championships as possible;
  • Organizing local motorsport events and races at different levels (amateur and professional);
  • Creating a better environment (training facilities and mentors) for the new drivers to help them find their way to the professional tracks quicker;
  • Building new and improved infrastructure needed for the development of motorsports.
